Building a Kit

The Federal Government operates a site (Ready.gov)that provides information on building your own emergency kit. It's pretty detailed, and offers supply kit information fpr basic kits, car kits, maintaining kits, and where to store them (including in the car). Check it out as an additional resource for planning for your family. There are even printable lists for building your supplies.
