The Church has a lot of great resources to help you and your family prepare for whatever comes. There are also great local community websites that provide information for Utah families. There are several listed below. In addition, I'm working to set up onsite first aid, food storage and emergency communication classes in the ward. Updates and links will be posted in this section.

Emergency Preparedness

This section of the Church's Library, "Topics and Questions," covers the topic very well and provides insight from modern prophets to encourage and motivate.

Make a Plan: Family

This site is operated by the State of Utah and is a great starting guide.

You are responsible for the health and well-being of yourself and your family. Make plans for the disruptions to your family members' lives that could be caused by disasters. When family members know what to do and how to do it, you will all "be ready" to handle any emergency.

First Aid Classes

The Red Cross offers training services locally to help prepare yourself and your family for medical emergencies. These range from Basic First Aid to CPR to Water Safety. They are offered frequently and at low cost.
